If you don't like her, her messaging, and/or are a climate change denier (which would be weird considering this is a weather forum, with for the most part , science-minded people) then you can just ignore her.. but it's pretty weird that she is brought up so often on here.

Not historic but it is significant. Thunder Bay forecast to drop to -26C tonight; daily record is -30C. Also forecast to dip to -32C in Timmins; record is -34C.

Daily records... To know the climate of the East, this will be a classic cold blast, nothing more.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
And another very significant cold shot looks to hit the eastern prairies and great lakes next week. Again, not historic but it is close...anomalies are a whole lot colder than anything we've seen in the past decade at least.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
I think John issued his forecast for the wrong area.

That's funny , Tyler Hamilton just said beautiful December shaping up for higher elevations, front after front after front.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 9:04 am A dud of a Nov/Dec period taking shape. No end in sight to this split flow pattern. Maybe Jan/Feb but it looks like it might be another month of this gunk based on the long range outlook.

Plot twist: He actually lives in Winnipeg.
That way forecast has a 100% chance of verifying.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Again...the point is the east has seen many more daily cold records fall in recent years when compared to the west.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 3:28 pm Daily records... To know the climate of the East, this will be a classic cold blast, nothing more.
For example, when was the last time YVR broke a daily cold record in January recently??
