Close to Dec '90...a notch warmer. Between -15C and -20C. Gradient was insane with that one though...was brutally cold in the interior.

That November 26, 2006 snowstorm was pretty epic in my opinion. Massive snow rates. Not to mention, it was followed by a true arctic blast. I'm doubtful we will see it again though at least not for a long time. It seems so hard to get that kind of setup around here. If I recall, the snowstorm was actually only forecasted at the last minute. It was expected to be a dry cold blast until a secondary low formed at the last minute causing the forecast to change from "chance of flurries" to 30-50 cm of snow in a few hours. I remember being shocked seeing the snowfall warning, when just a few hours earlier the forecast was for flurries. :lol: :clap:

Are the models actually better with these situations compared to say, 2006? Or is it all the same?
It always snows in December in the Kootenays :clap:
