Cat 6?

Probably below -12c for highs and below -18c for lows. In other words, below anything ever recorded in Vancouver (whether at the old downtown station or at YVR). Though I'm certain had there been a station in the city at the time, the insane arctic blast in late Jan/early Feb 1893 would have met the criteria.

Remember, I made the rating system just for Vancouver. You'd have to adjust it for other locations like Abbotsford, Chilliwack, etc.

With Shaw my cellphone plan is almost free, only have to pay for data, which for me only costs $3.33 per month, so I'm stuck with Shaw.

Still snowing, ever so lightly.

One of you valley folks should create a cold snap rating scale for Abbotsford.

I vote for @Abby_Wx.

I.e. same scale out of five and names for each category, just with adjusted numbers.

19cm seems unlikely. Though there have been some heavy periods of snow here this evening. Up to about 10cm now.

The Malahat highway station is only showing about 7cm. It’s not too far from the airport directly and more than 1000ft extra elevation
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

If not according to radar Victoria's getting hammered now, what happened to our south island members never see them on here anymore.
