This is honestly good news for us in my option. Lots of chances for that ridge to retrograde to the GOA later in December.

Huh, I see no highs above freezing in Fort Liard's forecast.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Looks like we'll be stuck in a pretty boring pattern till at least Dec 10-15th. Maybe something interesting in the second half to last third of December.

I think we’ll see the westerlies break thru for mid December before the pattern turns more favourable late in the month. Late December and January will be chilly to cold. Lock it in! Either that or the ridge locks in forever and we turn into California.
Pretty good chance that big ridge pattern in western NA will be flipped at some point.
