I’ve definitely enjoyed the beginning of this “summer.” I still get out with the kids and do what we normally would. Just an extra layer on the kids and no big deal. Eventually we’ll get an extended dry and warm period, so I’ll enjoy this in the interim.

My only hope right now is that the models flip suddenly to warm and sunny just like they flipped to this abysmal pattern last week and took our heat away. If they can flip one way they can flip the other. It is also statistically impossible to have NO sun for an entire month of July, to my knowledge. I think even our worst summers still eventually got nice. And also, it seems our cooler summers feature amazing Septembers whereas it seems like our awesome, sunny summers end abruptly after the first week of September. Some years can remain in the 20s until beginning of October.

But for us yes, we seem to be cooler and wetter this year. Thankfully.
It's one year.

As for Anchorage, their records go back only to 1952 so it's not too surprising that they have finally broken that mark. Anything above ~82-84F is pretty rare though. I used to live there for a few years and the highest temp I saw was 77F once, in late May.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Is there anyone on here that has good knowledge of iMacs? I'm looking at an upgrade and have some questions. Let me know and I will create a a separate thread so we can discuss this further without flooding this page with non-weather discussions. Stuffy perhaps could help me?

This is quite possibly the most tremendously f****** dull summer this decade. No heat waves, no thunderstorms, every day seems to have been some variation on 20C, mostly cloudy, a couple showers, 2 cracks of blue sky if we're lucky.

Beautiful out there today. The swimming pool is filling. Hopefully the heat isn’t far off now.
