Looks like you guys got a good bit of rain overnight. It was dry and breezy here with a gusty west wind all night.

7.6mm for May so far.

16mm overnight and this morning and over 40mm for the month in Port Coquitlam. After a wet period Monday and into Tuesday it looks like a big ridge is gonna redevelop offshore. We all knew that was coming.

Another two week dry spell would be nice.

Wow, I can't believe you guys have gotten 40+ mm over the last few days. It seems like the heavy showers have missed me entirely. I'm only at 15.9 mm for the month.

My normal rainfall for May is 100 mm... long ways to go! At this point I'd be surprised to reach half of normal by the end of the month. That's not a big deal since April was wet, but we'll need to get some decent rain in June and July.

Only 9.4 mm in Cowichan Bay! Still quite dry, people have been watering lawns for a couple of weeks. Maybe more with the cold low on Monday.

Once again hot and dry is our default. When I see a massive wet pattern advertised I view as mayyyyybe some showers with a high likelihood of ridging immediately following. Sucks for us rain lovers/heat haters.

Month to date average high at the Pitt Meadows station is 21.1C...hardly hot. Total precip is 35.3mm which isn't too wet but not terribly dry either.

Average high is what, 17? July is around 22. So yes not extreme but quite warm and dry with more on the way.

Average high for the month at YVR is 16.7C. Average high so far this month is 17.6C, only 0.9C above average.

At 11.2mm YVR is well below the monthly rainfall average of 65mm, however that is mostly balanced out by the wet April we just experienced.

That does seem like a lot of boats for that lake...ah yes, it is a long weekend.
Are most people fly fishing/fly trolling? The chironomid fishermen usually knockem dead this time of year.
