Another beauty weather detail of the Similkameeeens..
Even on a day like today with a forecast high of 39c, at night it cools right down. Overnight is forecast to drop to 15c. Just enough to cool the home down by morning again. Likely due to the high elevation and mountainous terrrain. Tell em Catnip!! 8-) 8-)

..and add to the previous weather details of the Similkameeens...
Almost always bone dry humidity..so 39c feels like you are sitting in an oven..not sauna. I often find that 39c there feels better than 29c here and humid :shh: :shh:

Yup I can attest to this Buttee! Always nice being up in elevation during a heat wave. Much cooler at nights.

My worry is that things are getting primed for :13fire:

At a local level, I noticed the grass has turned brown pretty quickly with this heat/wind. A sign that things are really drying out.

I got mine down to 21.4 by running window fans all night.
It's called clown range for a reason.

It's still early but so far the idea of a wetter than normal July has yet to show any signs of verifying. Looks dry and warm for at least the next week.

To be fair, there was never any point where a wetter than normal July was anything but a pipe dream. Normal refers to previous decades where rain in July was a relatively common thing, whereas now it's basically a novelty like snow seems to be in the winter. Luckily we can still get significant rain in June, which has delayed fire season until probably right about now. I predict the province is about to explode in fires and there will be smoke waves in 1-2 weeks.
