Troff usually digs too farwetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 12:26 pm Would have been a crazy few days if the trough axis had shifted East and not dug so much. Models suggest one last shower late tomorrow into early Monday as the trough disintegrates.
North Shore mountains has seen 20-30cm in the past day.

I had about half a cm Friday night and a carbon copy again last night. Current temp is 0.4C
These cells seem to lack the "juice" to get any decent accumulations.

We have barely had any precip the last 48 hours.
Better chance tonight as the trough finally moves eastward.

Everything was wet when I got up this morning, but no white stuff to be seen. So it was either slushy rain or wet glop that melted on contact.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Models have been busting bad on precip amounts. Otherwise we would have had some decent snow totals by now, particularly at higher levels.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 8:01 am We have barely had any precip the last 48 hours.

Snowing lightly, at +3°, flakes get bigger at times, then disappear. EC hourly forecast shows chance of flurries/snow/thunderstorms for next 24 hrs.

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Close to 30cm in some locations near Campbell River. Close to 50cm near Granite Bay.
Quick hitting. Doubt we see anything more than a slushy dusting.
