Cold Alaska. generally would mean limited opportunities at arctic air and perhaps a higher likelihood for an active storm track.

The fact that there is such a strong signal for high latitude blocking is promising for our winter. It will depend on the exact placement of the ridge and trough as to where the core of the cold ends up. Lots of details yet to be known.

First frost tonight? I am down to 6.1c already.
Cold here too, 5.2 and clear at 1am brrrrr the stars are beautiful and I saw some geese flying over today. Yesterday was amazing so many flocks zipping past faster than I'd ever seen, some had a pretty good tail wind, others weren't as fast. It was interesting watch the speeds of the geese and clouds at different heights, and sometimes the geese would disappear in the clouds. Amazing couple of hours.
Any one running an Android box? if so PM me looking to get one.

The temperature barely hit 90F yesterday in Saskatchewan. Those irresponsible idiots are still driving around on summer tires! Don't they know the rules?
Okay, I don't know what the rules are in Saskatchewan, but I personally don't follow them. a few years ago it was 30C in BC in April, and there's no way I was keeping my winter tires on until April 30th! They have since changed the rule to March 31st, but still, March can be warm too, so screw 'em, it should be based on the weather year to year not some hard and fast date every year.

Agreed Glace l use to switch out summers/winter tires but opted for all seasons now.
Save money having them stored as l have no room to store them and less hassle for me.
On a side note how do you know how bad the Knuckles are?
Answer: When the expansion team let's the 2 players they selected from Knuckles in the entry draft go.
Lind and Gadjovich were let go by the Krackenheads.
