Typical, although the valley called for less chance of thunderstorms, Chilliwack has been getting hit pretty good over the last 2 hours.

The NAM looks like it is the most aggressive in terms of convective activity. Unfortunately we’ve seen that story before.

We just need that area of divergence to move about 50km to the west. So close yet so far away.

Models keep saying tomorrow morning looks like a good shot for storms? Let's hope. Looks like some are firing up around Seattle, of course. It wasn't always THIS difficult to get a widespread thunderstorm event around here, was it? I seem to recall many bigger thunderstorms outbreaks in the Lower Mainland in the 2005-2015 timespan. It seems like the last 5 years or so have been especially pathetic. At best, a few rumbles over a small portion of the area and then done.

Wakey wakey! Incoming action south of us. It really fired up in the last hour. Glad I stayed awake. I just wasn't ready to give up hope. I swear, it the border force field kicks in I'm gonna be MAD. :lol:

Added an 3:22 am- Pouring rain now and distant thunder.
Radar looks really good!
