November 26th, 2006 is really inflated more than reality. They somehow recorded a total of 53.5 cm during that event, but strangely never measured more than 38 cm on the ground. That's a lot of compacting/melting in a 36-hour period, considering it was below freezing.
I wish I had taken my own measurements because from what I remember, there was a lot more than 38 cm on the ground. Granted, I was young at the time so everything seemed bigger. It also seemed more intense because of how fast the snow accumulated.
I'd love to see a repeat of that event. Probably some of the highest snow rates I've ever seen. But the setup that produced it is unfortunately rare.

I was working not far from the airport, there was around 35 cm at my work.
