It's already overcast and showers likely tonight , that sucks. Maybe some clear skies tomorrow night as there still could be a chance of seeing the northern lights before the window closes.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 1:56 pm Clear skies tonight? And will the aurora borealis move south enough for us to see? It sure would be awesome.

Re: May 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
I'm at just over 25mm this month for rain. One station near my house had slightly more than that, but it's an electronic weather station. I had to check if another station recorded at least 25mm because I recorded the same amount of precipitation 2 times, and I wanted to make sure that wasn't because I forgot to empty my rain gauge. I record daily in inches because the rain gauge is in inches, and I put .51 inches 2 times in a row, so I was suspicious of that fact.

Is this the same as chasing carrots in the winter it's always there at 384 hours, the one nice thing with the warm weather afew weeks ago is running our central air in the house it has been most refreshing and something to look forward to after being out and about and sweating like a pig.stuffradio wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 10:15 am 12Z GFS has temps at 26C in Abbotsford 348 hours away!

Re: May 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Yes it was on a Sunday morning she erupted between 8:00a.m. and 8:30a.m. we were living in Vancouver down on west Broadway, it sounded like someone up stairs dropped or knocked over a dresser. Ppl down Portland way closer to the eruption never heard a thing sound travels funny that's for sure. Watched the live feed from KING T.V. all day it was awesome. Hawker would have been a little flapper and Hounder most likely a pup.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 10:37 am Must have been the volcanic eruption of Mt St Helens , I know exactly where I was when it happened . I was fishing ( familiar theme) at Lightning lakes in manning park on that day when suddenly I heard a loud KABOOM. I had no idea what it was until I turned on the news when I got home . Didn't know that the sound of a volcanic eruption could travel that far. And I believe it happened on the Victoria day long weekend.

Weird spot in someone's yard? too much pavement and no wind measurement it's out in the open where someone can come along and either trash it or steal it. although there are cameras mounted on the telephone pole I notice. Still it should be fenced, Agassiz station photo next sheriff Gooser.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 4:36 pm I was in Cultus Lake this afternoon. I took a photo of the weather station. The location is not very good. I would say just acceptable...

I thought it felt muggy yesterday too John
Looks like you guys got a good bit of rain overnight. It was dry and breezy here with a gusty west wind all night.
7.6mm for May so far.
