Re: January 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
Imo, this is the type of pattern we want to see if you you want snow.
The backdoor type setups, while they can get chilly/cold, they usually don't deliver snow.
The setup being shown on the Euro and GFS, while crazy cold, would most likely deliver snow. Being early Feb, we are still in the ballpark, as we get closer to March, not so much.

l'm not sold at all Jr. Man perhaps no more than afew days of slush falls in a chilly on shore flow before the rain returns with an abundance of ski slope snowfalls at least.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

We always seem to run out of time l find it amazing that colder climes have no problem getting brass monkey cold in February while we struggle to get below 0c in February.Catnip wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 3:34 pm Imo, this is the type of pattern we want to see if you you want snow.

Re: January 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
February has become our go to winter month it seems, and it appears that, for now, the models are buying into it. Still lots to figure out though. It can all go to real quick.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 3:39 pm We always seem to run out of time l find it amazing that colder climes have no problem getting brass monkey cold in February while we struggle to get below 0c in February.

This arctic front really underperformed. It fizzled out south of Boston Bar. Models did show Hope getting some snow but they saw mostly rain and are at +4C.
