If Montreal makes the playoffs this year then their rebuild will have been done in record time, and leaving the canucks in their dust. It can be done , but just our luck it'll take 10+ years  . By then me and Sardinski will be entering wheelchair races.

Assuming 11 hour difference would the games be evening due to heat? would be morning for live games here.

They'll be broadcasted on TSN, yes. CTV too I believe.

Hopefully miller keeps scoring so someone can take him off our hands. Trade Horvat, miller, myers, boeser, maybe garland and tank one season for a top prospect in this draft. See if the rest of core can bounce back, if not then complete the teardown by trading Quinn demko and Petey next year. We know that by hoarding draft picks and cap space things can turn around quicker than they used to.

What's your take? Any chance to get a win/draw against Morocco at least?

There's a non zero chance! Canada is probably about 40% chance to win or draw. It's going to be tough but in one game with our talent, anything can happen.

On paper, the team stacks up fairly evenly with Morocco. Realistically, Canada is not favoured at all to advance from the group but of course there always is a chance; look back to Costa Rica in 2014 who topped a group that included England, Uruguay and Italy. In three one-off games, anything can happen.

In a situation where Canada does pick up at least a draw (1 point) from the Belgium and Croatia matches, a win (3 points) against Morocco could be all we need to advance.

All in all, I certainly would not write them off before the tournament has begun and can't wait to see the red and white finally represented at the world's biggest stage after 36 long years.

Awesome. I'm looking forward to watching them. I don't follow any league soccer, so my knowledge of individual players is minimal at best, but I do follow the National team.

Can't argue with those names but you gotta keep somebody with skill like Hughes and Pettersson as they don't grow on trees, but they also have their flaws . Not too sure about Podkolzin and Hoglander either, Pod lacks hockey sense and skill, Hog lacks finish around the net and not a great shot.
And aside from skill, what do young teams like Detroit, Montreal, LA , Ottawa , NJ , Colorado ,or even Seattle have in common? Speed , and lots of it. If the Canucks are not the slowest team in the league, then I'd like to know who is.

Agreed.

However, this organization has been reluctant to do a proper rebuild in the past so I don't have much hope this time would be any different. Ownership clearly believes in the win now strategy despite the fact that taking short term short cuts has been a disaster for the team.
