In other words there's a time for joking and last week was not the time.

Yes, Nito does have a warm bias. That said, all of this is just for fun. We aren't at all being rude or intending to criticize him. He's very knowledgeable and sometimes I wonder if he puts out a warm forecast just for the fun of it because he knows the reaction he gets for it. This community is all about laughter and fun. I'll admit that I tend to have a cold bias. We all have our biases, likely even professional meteorologists. Its part of human nature to have a bias towards something we prefer and difficult to set it aside. So Nito, keep being you. We love it.Bonovox wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:29 pm I think you mistake giving a tough time for honest and friendly ribbing. He has a warm bias and plays that role to perfection. Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Well, I think we have all been screwing around a lot more this year than in the past 10. Many silly posts etc.. for whatever reason, I guess we should be a bit more serious now. Especially with some of the ideas Stuffy has, we don't want to look like an elementary school forum, which is why we prevent posting more than 5 smilies per post. It's not necessary.
As for Nito, if I recall correct, he has some kind of formal training in weather forecasting, but ya, he's ribbing us for sure which kinda sucks. But either way cold or warm, we should all try to keep it accurate.
And one smilie posts are not necessary, sardineman. Hitting the thank button is good enough.
