The mountains of the Sea to Sky region looks like they'll be getting hit pretty hard and that region is susceptible to early season flooding as we saw in October 2003 and October 1984 as well as Labor day weekend 1991. prec2-13.png
Yeah, l'd be happy with small bucket fulls of rain dumpster size is abit to much at this time Cmen79. :D

What an adventure! I didn't know fog could be that widespread, I thought it was a coastal thing. Learn something new every day.

Awesome photos Bonovox! Thanks for sharing!

I've been rushing to get more outside stuff done before the season of rain arrives. Got the garlic planted today and hope to get potatoes in tomorrow. It's so easy digging with the soil dry and fluffy.

Currently 10.8c in Sechelt with a moderate high of 17.6c and a low of 7.9c. Felt the weather change coming in tonight. Rain for everyone for the next six months, enjoy! ;)

December 1985 was an extremely foggy (mostly dry too!) month. I think it holds the record for most foggy hours recorded in a month at YVR.

Yes we talked about that event, l remember it well my parents moved during that fog fest in December just before Christmas 🎄 to Richmond l'll never forget how pea soupy it was.
Not sure how far inland it extended can probably look up YYX for Dec/85.

Yup, no vampires here!

Due to the drought the big commercial water users are being shut down along with the public swimming pools, that all makes sense but I was surprised to see the pet store wasn't selling fish :o and had a sign asking people to keep their water changes to a minimum.

In all seriousness Sechelt's water woes has been on Global news all week even that Seaview is it called? made the news again what a shame those house's still sitting there slowly slipping away and nothing's being done. Those poor folks for some it was there retirement dream home,
who do you blame builder or municipality. It seems like a political hot potato that no one wants to deal with IMO.

We've been discovered! Now we're in the news more and more and I don't think it's a good thing. Seawatch is a sad situation, from what I remember there was a report that said the ground was unstable and somehow lots were sold anyway and houses built. Sechelt and the whole coast is a much changed place and we now have 'big city' problems with homeless, drugs, etc. to say nothing of not enough water, dr's, highways, etc. But there's lots of good people up here too, my neighbours delivered a 4' tote of water to total strangers who are trying to keep their market garden going.

Yes Seawatch l was going to google it, unfortunately l think no area now is free from all these problems.
I guess when l was younger my memory of the Sunshine Coast or up the east coast of Vancouver Island was the place to visit or live.
Now l want to remember it that way but it has forever changed for the worse even in the smaller towns unfortunately.
