I was going to say C+ just because of all the torching, but assuming we make it to fall without a smokefest, I will up that to a B-.
It's called clown range for a reason.

It is interesting to read different perspectives. I was going to give it a D instead of a C-, but refrained since we didn't see the extreme heat of last summer.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 10:20 am I was going to say C+ just because of all the torching, but assuming we make it to fall without a smokefest, I will up that to a B-.

BlackBerry season way behind last year's schedule around here , still alot of unripened(green)blackberries.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 10:11 am I'd give it a A-, just enough heat to have something to complain about , lots of rain early on so it's been pretty green and no smoke. Could have been more exciting yes, but at least it wasn't insufferable...and the blackberries are plump, juicy and abundant! Definitely bumps it up a partial grade!

I was gonna ask , what would you have rated last year considering we also had some smoke to contend with.

Re: August 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I'll give it a B for now , would've liked if the sunny stretch started earlier like mid May or early June, but on the plus side no forest fire smoke to contend with. If the Sun stretches to end of Sept I'll give it an A.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 3:22 am Rate this summer with its hard to believe meteorological fall beginning in afew day's what's your grade for this summer 2022.
For me a B+
Although it got off to a slow start with Juneuary and Julapril l quite enjoyed the short heat humps half humps almost heat domes. Followed by comfortable temperatures the duration of the heat at least made it tolerable. The longest all summer was what 6 day's max the one event. A non existent fire season out side of the Keremeos Creek fire made it enjoyable after last years devastating fire season.
On a disappointing note the numerous risk of thunderstorm forecast busts and just the absence of any significant thunderstorms this summer was a bummer.

Summer gets a B from me, but I've got central air conditioning haha
It's been perfect since mid July, but started a bit too late for my liking

Yeah, I really struggled between the two grades. I could have gone either way.Weather101 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 11:24 am Na this summer is worst then last year with how long the heat sticks around and keeps coming back.

Re: August 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Talked to a Winnipeger at my son's wedding and he said they get thunderstorms at least once a week . So whoever wants to move Winterpeg for the cold and snow and Summerpeg for the thunderstorms.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 3:22 am On a disappointing note the numerous risk of thunderstorm forecast busts and just the absence of any significant thunderstorms this summer was a bummer.
