According to EC, the high both today and yesterday at YVR was 21°C, which is exactly average for this time of year.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: August 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Well, that wind didn't happen here last night. It was pretty quiet out there.
Nice night tonight. I'd say it was a bit cool but I don't want to tempt fate with 'gifting' us another heat wave.
High of 21.7c in Sechelt, currently 16.9c. Is it cold enough to snow yet?

Re: August 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I thought your first map with all the reds and browns was a mega heat wave and was very happy to see it was precip instead. That would have been a big problem with the ground rock hard and dry, it would have all run off. Hoping for just the right amount.

Re: August 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Like what happened in 1991. Significant flooding in the Sea the Sky region at the end of August that year. Even the October floods of 2003 followed months of drier than normal conditions. The ground couldn't absorb any moisture. There is also, of course, no deep snowpack in August or even in October, to absorb the rainfall thus leading to more rapid run off at the higher levels.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 9:38 pm I thought your first map with all the reds and browns was a mega heat wave and was very happy to see it was precip instead. I don't think we're gonna see a switch to a rainy pattern anytime soon anyway, the models are flip flopping a lot. The trend is drier than normal for the next 2 weeks according to the latest CPC.

Exact same here.
"Crisp" aka the "normal" low for Abbotsford based on the 1981-2010 period.
Edit: that's for the entire month of August. The average for Aug 28th is 10.8C.
