Nice photo! Looks bright enough to be the sun.

You're right Perseids peak August 11-12 but they say now is the time to watch for them because the full moon will be so bright many of the smaller meteors will be invisible. I'm going out tonight for an hour or so. It's my favourite meteor shower.

In the barren lands of the similkameens in Cabin country, where there are no City Lights to diminish the dark sky, the perseid meteor showers are tremendous
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

I’m giving the Perseids a pass this year because of the lunar interference during the peak. I have seen them many times. Also went out and saw the Leonids in November 1999 during one of their 33-year peaks, and I near froze my *ss off. Best things about the Perseids is that they happen in the warmest part of the year.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I stand corrected skipper, generally cools off quicker at the lake.

I haven't watched the Leonids for exactly that reason. I'm a fair weather meteor watcher.

Bathtub races in Sechelt today! Lots of fun even though it was pretty choppy out there for them.

Currently 18.6c in Sechelt and a surprisingly close 18.5c in Roberts Creek outside, a toasty warm 26.2 inside.

Get this , West Van actually has its own Weather station that EC uses, but EC gives North Van YVR's readings instead of West Van ....

Corporal Goose has a West Van weather station review in the Weather station thread the review is not good. :x that's why l mentioned l gave up E.C.'s station list l might check Wrinkle Rock or Pitt Meadows but the rest are not actual temperature for there location like you said or personal weather stations locally are good the ones that are accurate.
I was going to mention Skipper that photo could be a bank member from the 80's group A Flock Of Seagulls. :D
