I predict southwest or nothing here. It seems like I am sheltered from west and northwest winds. I can't recall ever seeing a significant wind gust from those directions in my time living here. I used to get some pretty wicked west winds when I lived in Surrey.

Re: October 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
EC says SW 40-60 for Abbotsford. I'd say in the mid 40's to low 50's range possible out here. But maybe it will be more intense then that. Time will tell.Abby_wx wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 9:09 pm I predict southwest or nothing here. It seems like I am sheltered from west and northwest winds. 00z GEM looks pretty chilly to end the month. Ridge is nudged offshore rather than overhead. Results in a backdoor blast....Oregon gets particularly chilly.

Re: October 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
and imo this will destroy the Ridge overhead problem this winter..as it will park itself offshore at times when in the vicinity. I still think the #tat resets soon. I like the look of this front incoming today. The future looks solid butties!! Lets think positive here Nito!!

I had a really strong downpipe about 30 minutes ago but now it's starting to clear rapidly.

Cool and wetter in the long range. Just what the ski doctor has ordered.
