Not the best storm I've ever seen but it was a good first one of the year. The rain really stole the show from the thunder though since it was torrential. Could barely hear the thunder.
The weather on the ECoast is easing you in slowly...preparing you for the inevitable ferocious blizzards in 6 months time
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

thought you were talking about snow and I was thinking snow at any time of year is fun but heat? No thanks. Though 20ish during the day would be nice.

I did drive through a couple of cottonwood 'snow' showers yesterday in Vancouver. It's just as pretty as winter snow.

This wet weather has been fantastic for my pastures, it's growing so fast it's keeping ahead of the sheep!

I like a front loaded summer, so you can enjoy the nice, warmer evenings when it is still light out at 9:30pm..it feels so tropical almost. This year..sadness in the weather department. Gloomy to say the least. Persistent clouds is quite sad indeed. I cant even put my pepper plants outside! And they are ready for the bees soon :x :x
I'm on :team: cool summer too!  But if I had an outdoor thermostat, I'd have turned it up just a titch a month or two ago.

I saw a couple of stands with local strawberries on Steveston highway yesterday.

Killdeer. There's a pair up here that just hatched some chicks, they look exactly the same but smaller. Amazing how they blend right in to the rocks.

Interesting Ms. Featheredcreeks but the most bizarre thing about them is why are they around at night? they walk around on the ground half the night at work.
They seem to like the wet weather too, are they nocturnal perhaps. :shifty:
