Saw this on Global news tonight kinda late to the party but nonetheless YVR will never be under the alert.

True!

Interesting criteria though. Since Pitt Meadows is in the same "zone" as YVR, we'll be under a ton of extreme heat warnings since 29c/16c days are relatively common during an average summer. :problem:

It's been very dry the past month. Only 6 mm of rain in May in Golden.

Wasnt looking this bad a few days ago but now rain wants to linger into Sat and potentially Sun.

This is going to promote a rapid runoff event with a freshet occuring right now. Good idea to stay away from rivers and floodplains this weekend.

NMME was released for July to September and it looks like the temps are normal for much of BC.

I was surprised at how low the warning threshold is. If they are warning for 'regular' weather I know I'll just ignore them after the first few. I wish they'd leave the warnings for extreme events.

Well we did get ripped off after the first week of January Ms. Lousyspringcreeks, so this is more than making up for it minus the outflow and snow but mud puddles are fun to build. :? Looking forward to the 21c heatwave in July perhaps and my cell going off with a heatwave warning in the middle of the night.

I agree Twarning for example the Peace area has day's of 30c in the summer quite often it's considered hot and dusty there.
I also question the threshold parameters. 33c for the Fraser valley l think 30c and above for Metro Vancouver never including YVR 28c and above. Dump the overnight low threshold you can still have a low of 14c with a high of 30c or more.
Or just have a warning for all areas of 30c plus.IMO

I must comment and l'm surprised no one from the Abby area hasn't snapped a pic of Mt. Baker l would but kinda difficult driving.
I don't think l've ever seen it so snow capped this late no joke it looks absolutely insane you'd think it was mid winter.
It's currently cloudy and 14c @ the pond in south Sardis.
Did l sleep through July and August yesterday 😳 back to October today.
