Taken from Abby land near the Sumas border looking north is it clouds or smoke.

Great photo, can't ever go wrong with clouds and mountains.

I vote for Clouds. Smoke isn't usually that fluffy without an upward column...and besides how could anything be dry enough to burn?

What's the latest on the snow pack? Is all this warm rain melting it?

Good point Ms. Alwaysrightcreeks, however remember one day of dry weather and a state of emergency is issued for south west B.C. and extreme fire danger. l think for the fraser valley holding our own this cool weather is helping thank goodness. Still high stream flows in the interior areas and the peace l believe as well as out toward Smithers.

Ah! absolutely stunning tune from the Beatles "Here Comes The Sun" brings back good memories of my Kitsilano beach day's and of course old school The Police " Walking On The Moon".
You can fry a Sardine Cpt. Gimpers but you can fool me 3/4 of the time. it's currently 13c @ the pond in south Sardis and mostly cloudy.

Sunset was amazing tonight. I watched it changing for about 20 minutes.

High of 17 today and currently the low is 12.
(didn't know you could change the font colour, clicked on the 'raindrop' I'm seeing them everywhere, thought maybe it was the less is more switch, cause I don't want to turn the rain off permanently, just a few days here and there would be nice)

Wow absolutely ridiculous shot Ms. Picassocreeks could actually be a great painting indeed. Not to worry l'm color blind so the gross teal is amazing. as far as an on/off switch for the rain would be handy however it appears to be missing hopefully it get's returned by July in time for W Networks Christmas in July.

In addition to what Hawker just said, the new ECMWF Seasonal came out today. We can expect a normal summer with above normal precipitation. June is wetter than normal, July is normal and August is dry.

The good news is, it’s starting to look as if there might not be a smoke season in the late summer this year.

Even for those who are fans of warm weather and sunshine, temps will be near average (so plenty of warm days), and given that our summers are on the dry side anyhow, precipitation can easily be above average yet the weather can still be mostly dry.

What a horrible spring. However, I'd be satisfied if July, August and September were beautiful, sunny and warm without choking on fire smoke. But...will we even have a summer?

Hopefully a summer 2012 repeat. Long dry stretch with no significant precip (>10mm in one day) from late June all the way until early October.
