I once saw a decent "intensity" one..maybe a DD4 rating it was several meters across and even survived cars driving trough it. Some people driving looked afraid like they were in a tornado
It was quite impressive though, picking up decently heavy objects and launching them up the funnel

I got to experience some large ones as a teen in New Mexico. On a day with light breezes, suddenly severe dust storm conditions in 80 km/h winds. Then in a minute or two, back to light breezes.
Mild compared to a tornado, but the sudden violence of it all gave me an impression of how dangerous and destructive a tornado must be.
