Love that song. Too bad the 'Nucks dug themselves such a big hole last month.
Also RIP Guy Lafleur, one of the most exciting players to ever lace up the skates.
Mike Bossy last week Guy Lafleur this week what a sad week in the hockey world Glace, all those 70's dynasty Canadiens teams with Lafleur skating down the ice with that hair flowing, just amazing memories of course he'd always score on the Knuckles goaltender Dunc Wilson but who didn't.

I never started watching hockey until 1991, the year Lafleur retired the second time. I know he and Bossy were two of the best to grace the game though.

If your talkin about Bossy and Lafleur I guess it could be.
Song facts:The Traveling Wilburys were a supergroup made up of Jeff Lynne (ELO), Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan. This song contains the folksy wisdom that comes from their experiences. It has a railroad theme, as the "end of the line" represents the train's last stop. >>
Roy Orbison died before the music video of this song was made, so in memory of him, when his verse comes on they show a picture of him on the train and his guitar on a rocking chair.
That's all she wrote , good night Irene. Another gutsy effort but just not enough in the tank, injuries haven't helped . Canucks needed superb goaltending down the stretch but it wasn't there, maybe Demko showing some fatigue. Time to root for LA and Dallas so Vegas also doesn't get in.
Ok,I just reached for my glass of life sustaining mineral water that's half full. Each team has 3 games remaining. Vegas beats Dallas in regulation and then loses to Chicao and St Louis in regulation. Dallas then proceeds to also lose to Phoenix and Anaheim in regulation. And then of course Canucks beat Seattle, LA,and Edmonton, all in regulation. Simple elementary mathematics my dear Sardineski ..all for the pleasure of meeting Colorado in the 1st round cloudy with .0001% of this happening.

Canucks officially out. Now let's see what new management has in store for us .
At least Vegas will likely be out tomorrow as well. Since they lost in OT tonight, if Dallas gets one more point, Vegas is officially eliminated.
I'd be very surprised if Dallas is unable to secure at least one point tomorrow night against Arizona.
Hopefully we have a good offseason. Honestly, with a few tweaks I think we can easily be a playoff contender next season. Likely would have made the playoffs this year as well if Bruce Boudreau was hired sooner. Big mistake to keep Green in charge for so long.

Yeah, too bad they didn't have Boudreau for the whole year. Hard to believe they signed Green to a 2 year extension last May. What l found bizarre the last couple of years was that whenever the sportsnet hockey analysts talked about Green they always said he was a good coach. I'd like to know what they were smoking while watching all those Green coached games. They got outshot on a regular basis and gave up a ton of good quality chances. Much better under Boudreau. I'd be shocked if Green got another nhl head coaching gig, but stranger things have happened.
