Ah yes, that reminds me of the old spin of the wheel draft lottery scandal , a bit like the 2021/22 Over the Hill Winter Classic snowgate scandal.

Yup, Perrault was one of the best skaters and stick handlers of his time. Speaking of stick handling I believe Jean Beliveau and Jean Ratelle were two of the best at giving the puck dizzy spells.

Yes l was going to comment that l believe the Caps may have taken the looser crown from the Isles, wasn't Washington's superstar bust Greg Joly?

Apparently when a person starts slowing down the hands are the first to go, even a stint in the minors ain't gonna help you.

Yes! Canucks should've drafted him! Alas, it was not to be.

Bossy is the third cup winning Islander to die this year. Gillies and Jean Potvin died in January and March respectively.

Forrest Gump wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:19 pm And the Canucks? Sabres? Unfortunately their claim to fame is having the most seniority in the NHL Sad Club.
I would say the Maple Leafs are worse. Not only have they not won since 3 years before the Canucks entered the league, but they have not even made the finals while Vancouver has made the finals three times.

Close only counts in horseshoes and grumpy old men snow contests , Vancouver haven't won a Cup since 1915... :shifty: .....oops , that one doesn't even count.

Sure the 1915 one counts! Back then the best team in the west played the best team in the east for the cup because there was no airplane travel so they couldn't be in the same league. The east league was the NHA, which was the exact same thing as the NHL. They changed the name as a loophole of kicking the Toronto owner out of the league (started a new league with the same players and owners, but didn't invite the Toronto owner).

And Vancouver beat the top NHA team that year.

Also, check out Ovi and Matthews... no one in NHL history (well, since the 1930s) has scored more goals/game at specific ages and above. And it's not even close! Of course, their numbers will go down as they age, but still, here they are for now.

Where do I rank? 35 goals + 75 assists = 110 pts in 44 games...in division 1 of the VAHA in 1979/80.
