Going to be at my friends’ cabin in Boston Bar this weekend. Looks like the wood stove will be getting a lot of use.

Yes, Lightningman was the co-owner and he's still on Twitter too. He's the one who contacted me a couple times including threatening to sue me.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 10:52 pm I believe lightning man was co-owner of the old and abandoned Vancouver Weather Page..speaking of which I just noticed it has been revived under a different name. They're predicting 10° for tomorrow, they could be way off if you believe Kristi Gordon.
When does Antares arrive in Labrador? You could probably buy a home there for under $99,999.

Sue you for what? Registering a long-dead domain that had clearly been abandoned? Creating bcstorms.ca (as if one person has an exclusive right to Internet weather discussions for an entire province)? Sounds like somebody has… issues.stuffradio wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 9:03 am Yes, Lightningman was the co-owner and he's still on Twitter too. I think they were pissed we posted a link in their forum telling everyone to come to our new forum before theirs died. Which was nearly happened as their domain was set to expire and had not been renewed and the website issues with their forum crashing and corrupting things and a lack of response from the owners to fix things. We were kind of forced to do something to save the community. Then at the last minute they jumped in and said we basically ripped off their website. We only did what we could have done before everything was lost. We were all happy there but having an absentee landlord was very difficult. Originally we set up this new forum as a temp home and we were going to go back, but then some negativity started and stuffy got threatened, so we just decided to keep this forum open. I think that's the basics of it all.

It takes a fair bit of work to set up a web site. Once it’s up, people tend to be creatures of habit and not want to change (i.e. their use of an existing site) unless, that is, they have some motivation to. That you were motivated to set this site up and others were motivated to move to it points to that old site having significant issues. Or maybe it’s all a big conspiracy and everyone was in cahoots to make the other sysadmin look bad. Occam’s Razor time: which is more likely? Hmmm, it’s just a big mystery.

Day 2 (Saturday) thru Day 9 (next Saturday) conditions and low/high daily temps. Could see some chilly daytime highs if it's cloudy/showery and a few frosty mornings if it clears up at night.
