I guess I'll be rooting for both Canada and Croatia to advance. I see Serbia is also there ,and most of the big guns except Italy.
Who or what is Euro playoff and IC playoff ?

Euro playoff is the last spot for the one European qualification playoff that hasn't been played yet. The winner of Scotland v Ukraine will face Wales for that spot.

IC playoff means intercontinental playoff. Costa Rica vs New Zealand for one spot. And Peru vs Australia or UAE for the other spot.

So does this mean Canada 🇨🇦 is in tough? I suppose, do they even stand a chance.

Its a tough draw for sure. Regardless it's the world cup and there's no real "easy" matches. Perhaps a few relatively easy ones to start for some nations but if any country has any aspirations of advancing to the next rounds then they'll eventually run into fellow heavyweights.

I hope not. But you gotta believe Canada will be stoked.

Welp that's pretty much all she wrote for the Knuckles this year after that 3-2 OT loss to the Vegas chicken nuggets oh well it was interesting for a couple months.
Also hearing rumbles that Brucie may not be back next season l guess his contract was for this season and an option or something for next season.

I have been looking for an excuse to [use the word] imbibe. I have found it. Please enjoy.

Ode to a Canucks Fan

When in your net the puck has been inscribed,
And out your mouth escapes a diatribe,
Attend to what your doctor has prescribed:
"An alcoholic drink you must imbibe!"

Once more a penalty has been ascribed
Unfairly, icing your decision to subscribe
The theory that the linesmen have been bribed,
So for your sanity, you must imbibe!

All night the passing clearly hasn't vibed,
As you again hear John and John describe
Just how another L has been transcribed,
You reach out for your pint—you must imbibe!
2023-24 season stats:

Season total: 39.0 cm + 3 traces
Peak depth: 28.0 cm (Jan 17)

I just noticed today that the goalie who invented the glove died at the age of 95 in February. He played for the Vancouver Canucks when they were in the Western Hockey League (a minor pro League like the AHL).

Before his time goalies would just knock the puck down with a heavily padded glove that was much like a skater's glove.

It's interesting that there is a 4-goal gap between each of the top four...

Sad news for sure. He may have been the best goal scorer of all time (well, maybe Ovechkin was). Here is an article he wrote 5 years ago when he turned 60... https://www.theplayerstribune.com/artic ... mike-bossy

Also, here is he killing the Canucks in the Stanley Cup finals in overtime in 1982...

Wow that's a classic Glace l remember that OT game best chance Knuckles had at winning a game.
What a huge blunder by Snepts throwing it in front he should have shot it back around the net.
