No real intense precip the next 10-14 days. Just steady warm advection rain/drizzle or post frontal chilly showers.stuffradio wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 12:48 pm April, colder and wetter than normal

Really happy to hear April will be colder and wetter than normal. Hopefully we see that last through June to grow our vegetation right before we hit our usual 100 day drought with unforgivable sunshine and record heat.

Re: March 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Yup i was going to mention that soon but you beat me to it. So much more pleasant in the Similkameens in April due to higher sun angles. Leaving the soggy coast behind in the rear view mirror brings happiness buttees! Still chilly at night, and can get cold even...but the drier Interior makes for very pleasant daysRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 10:26 am We are quickly getting to the time of year where it is going to start being warmer in the interior than on the coast.
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?

Another warm day today, but at least we got some good rains in the Okanagan this week after a dry winter.
P.S. If anyone finds a Russian vodka named for the deepest lake in the world, and the sanctions are still going on, please purchase it for me, and we will make arrangements to meet.

Gotta love El Neato's enthusiasm as we creep towards Summer looking forward to plus 45c and burnt dried forests.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 2:59 pm No real intense precip the next 10-14 days. Just steady warm advection rain/drizzle or post frontal chilly showers.

Provincial emergencies are fun every summer too it goes hand in hand with hot dogs ice cream and an ice cold root beer.

Re: March 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
TWN spring forecast
British Columbia
Spring usually comes first to this part of Canada. While that will still be the case this year, we expect that our progress through the season will be slower than what we often see across the province, especially during the second half of the season.
However, a positive side to a cooler spring is that this will allow for a more extended spring ski season. Most of the alpine regions have a near-normal or slightly above normal snowpack in place and significant additional snow is expected into April.
At this point, it does not look like we will see an early start to the wildfire season. While it is too early to discuss the entire summer wildfire season, a cooler and wet spring should at least help delay its start.

Welp Theat, when all is said and done they'll say it was a record year for wildfires in B.C.
