Re: March 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Cold out there tonight, it's only 1.2c. How is that so cold, I remember when it was -10 and -3 was toasty warm.
Had a brief shower today while I was patching a piece of siding from the roof so the birds don't nest in my house again this year. I finished up quickly and just in time because it really came down for a few minutes. then cleared up and sun again.

It's currently plus 5c mostly clear with a brisk fake Arctic outflow wind @ the pond in the central valley.

The GFS is the only one showing snow right now. I'm not sure I really buy a snow solution.

Looks like the side door arctic event has faded away to a 24 hour chill down. Nice! Bring on the sunny warm weather. We are at mid March..time for the plants to growstuffradio wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 5:41 am The GFS is the only one showing snow right now. I'm not sure I really buy a snow solution.

I am not surprised! Was -0.8°C at my home this morning but no frost to be seen.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Fred certainly ripped someone a new *sshole in the “polite†politics forum yesterday. Same guy banned me for a few weeks in midwinter just because I wasn’t as pro-snow as he wanted. Go figure.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 11:40 pm What happened to the AF forum? did Poutine hack it many missing threads, not a happy bunch down there,

Re: March 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
The spring tease is almost coming to an end. The sunshine feels so nice and warm.
Looks like a weak -EPO/-PNA setup with weak troughing through next week.
Really curious to see how much snow falls in the Comox-Campbell River area along with Port Alberni in that Fri-Sat timeframe. Some runs were showing 15-20cm.
Some wet snow still looks likely down here. Maybe Trace to 3cm of slush in cooler shaded areas. May not stick to the roads with daytime heating.

Unless this is one of those years where it snows in April, then the spring tease has a while to go, more episodes to come….wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 3:12 pm The spring tease is almost coming to an end. The sunshine feels so nice and warm.

It really is. Same thing happened in the warm season last year. Frequently had more rain or thunderstorms than forecast.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 8:29 pm Seems areas over your way Ants is a tough area to forecast.
Currently -7.4C with a -17.1C dew point. It doesn't feel too cold with the low dews.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays
