Cranbrook has a decent snowfall average but it's much too dry to be a snowbelt. Up and down that valley is traditionally grassland/sagebrush mixed with relatively spase forest.

Still can't wrap my head around how E.C. never did issue a wind or arctic outflow warning for the fraser valley.
I guess gusts to 80kmh plus with -1c temps day and -5c overnight didn't count as a need for one. :roll:

Had a low of -4.8c earlier this morning, high of 2.2c.

Control run looks to stay pretty close to the long term average.

Assuming you mean the operational. Drops below -10c again in the Mar 9-11 timeframe.

Yeah, some of those analogues in the long range are very good. They're only based on the 00z OP run so they'll change again next run.

-5.8C here after a high of 1.1C. Our snow man has survived 2 days under late February sun angles. Not bad.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Hit -22C this morning under clear skies.

Stars were amazing thanks to the dry air. I guess that is one good thing about living in a tinder box.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays :clap:
