Pretty light rain here so far... outflow seems to be drying out the lower levels quickly. Temp is down to 4.9C though, which is VERY impressive for October 8th!

Impressive temp drop as well...went from 12.3C at 11:15 to 6.6C at 12:15.

Currently clear and 7.4C with some gusty NE winds. Pretty crazy midday temp with full sunshine considering its still early October.

Wind picked up at 7 oclock last night. Temperature shot up in 5 minutes from 11 to 15, which is was the high for day. Love Chinook winds, but that's all changing now. -3C tonight and tomorrow with the northern and central interior forecast to hit double digit lows overnight.

Geezus..whata day!
It is chilly! Almost snowing here Oct 8 is impressive. Look at the snow level on Golden Ears..low low
I drove thru the Similkameen this morning and whata snow storm up there. Hamilton Hill had about 6" and Larson Hill maybe even more. Got to the Coqu. Summit and there was nothing. Some areas snowing heavily and limited visibility due to snow intensity.
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

Now all we need is a classic Yukon/North BC oriented arctic blast later on in January. No more backdoor arctic blasts favouring Oregon.

Long range 18z looks cool and wet. Mountains will be building their snowpack early this year. Ridge eventually builds in towards the end of the run.

Yes Buttie.
Anchored frigid Arctic High over PNW troffing...nm the GOA block..too weak to sustain cold around here.

Amazingly only got 0.4 mm out of this...

That's what outflow can do around here. I feel like we're talking about December rather than October.
