Looks like the front is around Lytton now. Temps have dropped 7C in the past hour and they're reporting heavy rain with a wind shift to the NE.

That's a pretty nice "arctic" front moving thru the central interior now. Clinton went from nearly 14C to just 0C in two hours earlier this afternoon.
Impressive! I moved my delicate plants that have been out on the deck for the summer, inside today. Have a few more to move out of the garden tomorrow and then I'm ready for the first freeze to knock down the dahlias and then I'll dig them up. I remember one year, can't remember which one but in the last 15, when the first hard frost came and the ground froze solid for a couple of weeks at least, didn't get them dug that year.

If this was December several members would be doing a play by play as the arctic front descends upon the South Coast, instead most are still watching cat videos.
Looking forward to yaleman' s first post , and a photo of himself riding his bike around Yale in a foot of snow with his new gloves and bare feet.
Looks to me like the Knuckles aren't putting enough Ovenpucks in the net.

Whats interesting is that there does not appear to be a strong outflow with this arctic front, so NE winds should be unusually weak in the valley.

2016 perhaps. We didn’t have a freeze that fall until December 5th, when we transitioned to a cold snowy pattern
