Showing promise mid month. Most models are showing some snow this week with most showing it on Wednesday.

GFS suggests a weak pulse of energy later tonight so we may see a few wet flurries tonight into Tuesday morning

Probably not a good place to go from Oct to Feb due to heavy rains/ snows

Year of extremes and we still can't get an extreme winter or snowstorm. Lame.

We vanquished the cold demon at YVR at least in late December. Six straight days below freezing, five days with temps <-10c, including a low below -15c and a high below -7c. Granted, we're still a long ways away from catching up for lost time.

The main reason why many of our winters have been so lame is the lack of a prolonged midwinter cold snap. As mentioned many times before, the last cold January across the south coast was way back in 1993. Overall the decline of January as a consistent winter producing month is really notable, especially given it has produced for the east many times in recent years.

I dunno man. December was top notch. I guess snow depth wasn't amazing but it was pretty nice there for a stretch. I'll take that snow quality over quantity too, the powder was excellent.
