I'll believe that when it happens..not 3-10 days away. We havent had a dry stretch like that since Summer :shh:
I'm thinking some rain will show up somewhere in there :x :x

Ridge looks mighty impressive, with an offshore or S wind component throughout the 10-12 day period after Thursday. Wouldn't be surprised to see models trend warmer with surface temps (10-14C under sunshine) on some days.

It does not look like a good setup for fake cold, but that said surface temps seldom achieve what they theoretically can at this time of year in these situations. Significant inversions happen. Nights are just too long for them not to.

Sure beats more AR’s. I, for one, welcome our new ridge overlords.

These pauses in the wintertime action are more common than major arctic blasts. Closer to climo norms = model more likely to verify.
