Will be glad to get rid of the ice, luckily purchased traction device for my boots so saved me from falling.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Both solutions would be dry for us but the setup on the right would be colder.

East coast weenies referencing 2013-14 and 2014-15 now.
There was some top tier cold across the east in both winters.

This was a cool very wide screen shot of Vancouver and the snow covered mountains from Dec.
I suggest opening the image in a new window to see it full size.

Agreed. I just want a prolonged dry spell. Don't care if it's warm or cold.

First winter I can remember where I’m hoping for a nice, strong, long-playing ridge.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
A good stretch of +4/-4 days as many have suggested. After a stalled low in the strait to start the cold snap, of course.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 2:59 pm First winter I can remember where I’m hoping for a nice, strong, long-playing ridge.
Frosty mornings and sunny afternoons and a bed of snow.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
RGEM total rainfall through 4am Thursday. Past 4 runs trend. Definitely looks drier than earlier runs, but still really wet.
