Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Missed this post earlier. Looks downright nasty. 200mm for Coquitlam in 48hrs.
All that rain should hit Oregon and California. They are still in a long term drought and need it.

For those who don't know, this was the old "official" Vancouver station and was located downtown.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 3:17 pm In 2021, Vancouver has had the 2nd largest yearly range (47.7°C) since 1899. Record is 48.9°C in 1907 (PMO).

FWIW, I've found temp records at this station are more in line with YVR, while precip records at the old Steveston station are more in line with YVR.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Once again, temps DO NOT MODERATE as forecast. Cold is the default buttees. Not sure why. Must be those SST's i dunno. Most events since mid December have come in cooler than forecast/modeled. Nito is like it will warm up...then later like

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Meanwhile in Vancouver, where it is possible to have several hours of snow result in LESS snow than when it started...
It's all rain again.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
When I was in Port Moody I found Typeing’s conditions matched my own. If it’s dumping at Ioco I’m sure it is where he is too.
Catnip’s was always just out of reach.
