SW trajectory is better for the Fraser Valley in these instances. Worse for Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast and Squamish Valley.

Incredible amount of ice, i'd say 3/8" - 1/2". Temp rose to -0.9C but then dropped back to -2.3 this morning when I left for work. Lots of transformer flashes to the east. Driving to Abby, temp rose to 0C around Whatcom Rd.

What an insane night, power went out at around 10pm and was out until 730 this morning. The ice storm is something I have never witnessed living here my entire life, inches of ice on everything. Woke up to the sound of trees breaking in the pitch black at 6am, it was kinda cool but creepy as heck!
