Ok. Any chance it could be snow as the old flow is still roaring in the eastern valley and it’s still -8 in Chilliwack and -10 and ohwetcoast91 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 12:27 pm Patience John, that long firehose is repositioning to take aim over us. Should see the radar fill in by mid afternoon. That's going to be bringing some ice for you and maybe a stray pineapple storm later.

Nope. It's +3 aloft and freezing levels are spiking to 2000m later. ZR just West of Hope now too. Unfortunately looks like a bad ice storm on tap out that way until the winds shift onshore.

Beautiful shot of the mountains in Chilliwack showing the warm air. Up on Grouse it is still 0 with snow on the trees, Cypress is -2c. I guess the warm air is either below or above that.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Looks like the January thaw, but almost too short. I think it might stay warmer longer.stuffradio wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 12:05 pm I'm ready for a reprieve for the rest of January. We get a new Weeklies update soon. My guess is the last week of the month is when we will get the next shot of winter here.
GEM going for some 10C days while one model I looked at had something between 10-12C! If you're still wanting snow/winter, I will still post those models when they show that too

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
If it's ridgy we will be fairly cool at the surface with fog.
However if the ridge does not amplify and the axis is to the east, we'll be warmer with SW flow and rain. This scenario looks more likely at this point.

Do you think Abbotsford will also see significant freezing rain later today and tonight?
