Kind of saw this outcome once models advertised a stronger storm.

Rubus should get on it.

I hate ZR events, it just causes so many problems, including with my cedar hedging. Can anyone comment on how long and how much ZR E. Abby might see?

Antares wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 2:54 pm To be honest there is a bit too much snow here now. Icicles are insanely long on some buildings. Gonna cause damage if it isn't dealt with.

Another big snow tomorrow and Friday with rising temps. Perfect recipe for damage.
I hear ya lol. How about icicles that actually sublimate away lol. Ive seen it many times. From 18" daggers frozen, to vapour, and shrinking down as days go on and on. Im wondering when is the last time SImilkameens has been above 0c?
Only in the Similkameens! And Kootenays too i guess

Last time it was above freezing here was December 23rd, so probably not too much different in most of the Similkameens.

During the cold spell the icicle growth was very slow. Now with it warmer around -13C they are growing like crazy.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays
