Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
At least EC's predictions have been worse. I'll never forget the infamous WSW calling for 30-50cm across the lower mainland in Dec 2009 that failed miserably.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 2:20 pm LOL, my 10 cm forecast from this morning would come out on the high end of reality.
Anyone else remember that one?

Of course... cold rain is an Abbotsford specialty, and ZR is the coldest rain possible.

Also, chains are mandatory on this road. You must have it inside your car.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
15-20cm across the Metro Vancouver area looks like a good bet. Take it to the bank.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I'm sticking with 10-20. I think that's a reasonable call.

You underestimate the power of the belt (aka. Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Fort Langley, Port Coquitlam, South Coquitlam, and East Coquitlam).

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I choose to ignore those locales.
I kid. As we get closer to the event I think the models may be over doing the drying effects of the outflow. I don't think it will take long to saturate the atmosphere this evening. My 2 cents anyway.
