The moisture has changed direction for sure. All day it's been coming out of the West/South West, now it's shifted to coming out of the North West, both following a East/South East direction.

With your second appearance in less than 24 hours you have now moved up to Silver Bear status, check back tomorrow for further updates. :wave:
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

Looks like it's through Aldergrove... they are at -4. Little way to go. I miss the arctic fronts that pass through and the temp drops 5 degrees in 5 minutes

Yes was thinking once it shifts further east it should pull arctic air into Metro Vancouver.

Ya those were the best. And it would happen in the day. Now it's at night and we miss it.

No. That line is too generic. Check out the temperatures in Abbotsford compared to Pitt Meadows and other locations locally. Use Wundermaps is probably the best

Decent drop early Tuesday morning for Hope, Agassiz Chilliwack not huge but not bad. 4c to 5c drop in 3 or so hours.

Looks like there's some residual bands moving in from the Northwest now after the front has passed. We always seem to have an abundance of moisture even though the forecast never calls for it :roll:

Exactly, the map is close but not very accurate. Big picture wise it's good though.

To the east, the front is around Blaine/Aldergrove/East Maple Ridge currently. To the west, it's between Furry Creek and Britannia Beach.

@T3
You ended up with 2 cm and I have maybe 2.5 or 3 here. You're caught up in a hurry considering how bad it was earlier for you :thumbup:

The three most intense arctic fronts (in terms of rapid temp drops in a short amount of time) in the lower mainland I can remember in the last ten years were:
November 28th/29th, 2014
February 17th/18th 2018
January 12th/13th, 2020.

Shout out to February 3, 2019 which was decent as well.
