I haven't read all the posts. Did anyone notice that Hope stopped reporting wind speed after the squall moved through there? Gusts to 46 knots!

That’s crazy! We had some tremendous wind gusts as well, so much so I was worried about my gigantic cedar trees coming down

I have personally had snow falling at 4-6C. It's strange but it happens.

I remember Nice (SE France) has had snow with 8-9°C a few years ago (10-15?).

I see that the terminal forecast for Kamloops calls for it to go westerly, i.e. Arctic front going through at 08-10z

The front is now at Cashe Creek. EC has winds shifting westerly in Kamloops tomorrow evening. Judging by the progression, wouldn't the winds shift to westerly in Kamloops later tonight? Is the front forecast to momentarily stall? As it is, EC's forecasts today re: this surge of Arctic air has been a total bust in terms of timing and the depth of the cold.

Both EC and NWS have the ouflow as far south as Abbotsford by the early morning hours. I doubt the cold air will be that fast though.

A signal of the old snow event prior to the January thaw that gets people excited for spring then Feb hits and depresses everyone with cold and wet.
