Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Can anyone help identify the area this pic is from. I was searching webcams and found this one but it says it may be from Coquitlam or Abbotsford. Both could be wrong, but someone here might recognize the area.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I suspect that if you look at temperatures at least half that is modelled to fall with temps somewhere in the 2–4°C range.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Just checked, it stays below freezing at the surface the whole time.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:34 pm I suspect that if you look at temperatures at least half that is modelled to fall with temps somewhere in the 2–4°C range.

Could be sardineman's lucky day, or maybe it's missing south sardis altogether.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Sure. There has been modelled for at least a day or two. Issue is, there’s times the temps are too warm for snow on either end that GooFuS is still forecasting there to be snow… or at least there were the last time I looked. Have no trouble believing it’s going to snow with that event, the issue is how much of it falls as rain before it cuts over to snow. Maybe I’ll be wrong again.
Graupel shower moving through here.

This is when the temps. starts to moderate 10 am Thursday. It's reflected in the snowfall maps as well.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:39 pm Yikes! I will have to take a look myself this evening. Heading out to take my first bike ride in some time.
How can you claim something when you haven't even checked.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
It's all snow to start, the only question is how long it holds on. It appears judging by many runs I've seen that the majority of it falls as snow. I'm pretty confident with this one, I think you'll get there eventuallyRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:42 pm Sure. There has been modelled for at least a day or two. Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I don’t think they’ll be much if any rain on the front end Wednesday evening. I think the bigger question is ratios and the possibility of mild air wedging in at the mid and upper levels producing ice pellets and freezing rain on the back side Thursday amRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:42 pm Sure. Enjoy! It's suddenly beautiful over here. That graupel shower sucked earlier I was out doing some farm work in the mud.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:39 pm Yikes! I will have to take a look myself this evening. Heading out to take my first bike ride in some time.
