Do you live in the snowy part of squamish or rainy part? I'm sure further north and hilly areas get more snow than those near Howe Sound.
Looks like EC has saved ur back..giving you more a mixed bag most of this week now :alert:

The 12Z Euro shows significant snows tonight. I'm skeptical but it does show the temperature around -1 and 0C during the snowfall. :flakey:

Looking at the maps this morning. That was the storm that first popped into my head.

It's trying it's best to snow here, but between the temp and only a few feet above sea level, it'll need to try harder.

Why are some of you calling this Wed/Thurs's possible snowfall an overrunning event? Isn't the arctic air long gone? Don't see any reload of arctic air , just the usual borderline temps.

Seems to be the case. If you look at all the old photos of people skating on Fry's Corner in Surrey that could only happen with flooding followed by cold.. Could just be that these events fall at the right time of year that they seem linked and it is only a timing thing.

Those higher amounts are very unlikely but the atmosphere is cooling. The showers here today have been of the wet snow verity. No accumulation

Overrunning does not have to involve arctic air, merely air that is below freezing. Models indicate there will be outflow from the interior that, while not involving arctic air, will still be cold enough.

A little on the high end, perhaps, but a) not that far from the expected range, b) who knows, models may be trending more favorable.

4.9. Temp slowly rising all morning.... it’s hard to see snow coming but I’ll trust all your thoughts at this point and see what happens.
