Delete wind and clear the skies a bit and our chances will improve. A small North wind can help but East winds have brought us some good warmth in the past.

RGEM definitely spits out some high precip rates Tuesday morning. Could see a burst of heavy snow for some places.

Even with relatively mild upper level temps, a clear night with deep fresh snowcover can produce some impressive surface temps. Look to Feb 1990 as an example of this. We had a massive snowstorm on Valentine's Day (IIRC 30-60cm fell in two days) and temps plunged at night in the following days, even though there was little upper level support.

At face value, thickness values and upper level temps would favour heavy snow for some areas if they saw some decent precip rates.

First wave will be :raindrip: . Second tomorrow AM will be :raindrip: :flakey: with wet :flakey: above 100m. The popcorn clouds behind are a good sign that the airmass is cold enough at 925mb.

Most of the action is to our south now. A pretty wicked looking SW/NE squall line has stalled from about Astoria to Mt Vernon. Some heavy showers seen in the radar behind that might hit SW BC although there seems to be some subsidence over metro Van with this flow direction that's keeping the rainfall totals on the low side here.

It's insane im over it, completely exhausted and now the garage is flooding from frozen drains and down spouts. My body feels like someone hit me with their vehicle from shovelling snow and my sloped driveway is now an ice rink.....Fun fun times I tell ya. I love the snow It's my favorite and I wait for it every year but to get slammed by a foot after a foot and then rain is rough  but hey im always excited for the next snow fall, true story  :D

Just finished nightly dog walk, horrible slush, joining team radar this can go away until the next real snow. With the warm south wind that is blowing here the snow is going fast so might be gone by morning.
