Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Storm man has already alluded to this, but tomorrow morning is definitely in play. Moisture around and temps hovering near freezing.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I have commented in the past that overrunning events used to be very common when I was growing up in the 70/80's but we seem to now go from cold to rain without the big snow events .

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Seems to be that it’s usually the overrunning events that lead (or used to lead) to our biggest snowfalls.

No more snow for the foreseeable future...that was news 1130's opening news headline an hour ago. I wonder what their definition of foreseeable future is?

Probably. The whole column of air is below freezing though over Eastern Metro Vancouver. Makes you go hmmm.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
I just remember huge snowfalls seemed to always happen after a cold snap. This was especially true if you were away from the water. YVR may not have even registered many of these events.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
YVR used to score big sometimes with those overrunning events in the 70s.
