Typeing3 wrote: Sat Jan 01, 2022 1:36 pm Good point. When even was our last legit (i.e. 10cm+) overrunning event after an arctic blast? February 2018? And before that ... late Feb 2011?

Pretty pathetic.
We’ve just had an amazing overall event…an overrunning system seems highly useless anyways except to pad snow stats. Getting the snow off the top was far more important IMO.

The fluffy guy has been out for about 30 seconds total. He’s a homebody though. The little one doesn’t really care though, she’s grown a hell of a thick coat.

I totally agree but overrunning events are supposed to be normal around here. I'd rather come out of an arctic blast with more snow than a quick warmup with mild rain.

We all want that but we have something even better….a quick warmup followed by a snow storm mid week, followed by a period of ridging leading to more cold according to every long term model.

Would have liked to see an AR melt this. The city along with homeowners and businesses have done a horrible job removing the snow. Fresh snow with compact powder isn't bad but I am not looking forward to the rain compacting the snow on the surfaces with a potential freeze and inversion pattern turning side streets, sidewalks and alleys into ice rinks for weeks.

Oh that’s just standard lower mainland. Every time people tell me snow sucks I hear “ people suck”.
