First of all, I don't trust old readings (≈ before 1945) because weather screens were very different. They were often "opened", like this one.
That doesn't mean it was not very hot or very cold, but there was probably an overestimate (1C to 2C according to weather experts).
Here are the provincial records that I consider pretty reliable (not sure obviously).
Of course, after that, we should check each station to see the location (as we did for BC, with a lot of [bad] surprises...).
Unfortunately, this is not possible for each station (a lot of them doesn't exist anymore).
Alberta:
41.7C in Empress, on Aug 5, 1961.
-60.6C in Fort Vermilion, on Jan 11, 1911 [dubious].
British Columbia:
