I think we will be OK. We might avoid the flooding of the century.

Stalled cold front with heavy precipitation. The surface cold front is actually out ahead of the precipitation which allows heavy precip to fall into the colder air. Most often we see the precip clear before the actual cold front arrives.

Late next week looks pretty active. We need that Alaskan block to hold a little better and serve to suppress the storm track a little more. Cold air is near by and there is plenty of moisture sliding under the ridge offshore

I had a couple of cm as well, a bit of a surprise. Currently -7.8, low was -8.7 only two tenths warmer than Monday morning.

I thought we might have had a shot at the elusive negative double digits. But as usual too much cloud cover

When I woke at 6:30 it was only -8.5°C but the temperature made a quick nosedive before daybreak and reached -10.1.

I was thinking the same, when it was already minus 8 around 9 pm in the evening.

The models this morning haven't been too excited about snow this weekend, at least for Pitt Meadows. I didn't check for Abbotsford.
